During my first trip to Chattanooga with my family, we stayed at the Chalet Hotel. While exploring the property, I discovered this hidden gem. The beautiful decor immediately caught my eye, and I decided to return for dinner that evening. We sampled a variety of dishes, including the mushroom tartine, winter salad, Caesar salad, bistro filet, half chicken, and market catch. Every dish was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend a visit to Elsie’s Daughter — it’s truly a must-try spot!

I found Elsie’s daughter while staying at the Hotel Chalet and could not help but be impressed. The outdoor seating area made me feel like I was vacationing abroad. I had the steak and eggs with a pancake and can not begin to accurately describe how incredibly delicious everything was. It’s definitely worth finding out if you agree!

Four of us had a lovely brunch before going to a show. They had a mimosa special and the pineapple mimosa was a fun twist. The taste was perfect, not too sweet which I think would be easy to do. We can't review much of the other menu as three of us ordered the Crab Cakes - Ha! They were just yummy served on perfectly prepared grits with hollandaise sauce and then topped with a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg. I honestly could have just had the grits - they were that good!

This place is definitely a hidden gem. I was staying at the Chalet pre/post-op and this was my last meal before the big show. Every bite was worthy of an audible yum. Staff was very amenable (like when I changed my mind and wanted an appetizer) and responsive to needs. I will def. suggest to friends as I was suggested by my friend Andrea T. Can’t wait to return!

I’m visiting Chattanooga, and Elsie’s Daughter was recommended by several locals—so glad they did. I decided to stop by for brunch, and it did not disappoint. The place is beautiful, and the rustic decor makes it feel like you’re in a cozy European villa. We had the Irish coffee, hot cakes, breakfast burrito, and steak and eggs. Everything was amazing—especially the hot cakes, which are honestly the best I’ve ever had. It’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in town.

Not real sure why this place has anything but a 5 star review from their customers. Maybe because of the limited seating capacity may someone not rave about this place. Ivy was our bartender slash expert server. The bacon wrapped quail is about as awesome as it sounds. The shrimp and grits were a bit plain and still Good though more southern style shrimp and grits if that is what you’re going for. The oysters here were amazing, they are soft and tender and served with some type of BA sauce that was on point.
